Diving below 40 meters, what actually happens

Hi All

I've read that the watch offers diving down to 40 meters, which is fine for nearly everything. But what does actually happen if I would hit 41 meters on a dive, for whatever reason?

Will it still continue to record and tell me when to stop for how long and so on?

Would it even still show me the remaining ground time?

How is the lack of a beeper for you compared to classic dive computers?

Thanks
Patrick

  • No experience here, but accoeding to the manual:

"Your watch is dive certified up to a dive depth rating of 40 m (131.2 ft.). When you exceed a dive depth limit of 45 m (147.6 ft.), the watch stops reporting the depth, and No Guidance appears on the screen. When you ascend above 45 m (147.6 ft.), the watch continues reporting the depth. Information that requires accurate tissue loading is unavailable for the remainder of the dive, including no decompression limit (NDL) time, stop times, and time to surface (TTS). After exceeding the depth limit in a dive, the Scuba Dive activity is unavailable for 24 hours to prevent inaccurate guidance. You cannot disable the Deco Lockout feature after violating the dive depth rating of the watch "

  • Thanks Volker, either I missed this text last time I read it (several weeks ago), or they since extended it.
In any case, this actually does answer my most important questions.
