Shot tracking still isn't working, unless you restart the watch after starting the round of golf.
I have reported this in both beta and on here but because Garmin can't answer the question they lock the topic so you can't comment on it.

Updated July 17th, 2025
A hot fix was released to resolve the issue with Autoshot no longer working.
The hot fix was released via update version 15.33 for the fenix 8 series. Please keep an eye out for…
I am having the same issue. I upgraded from an Epix gen 2 that worked well. The new Fenix (Purchased at Christmas 2024) was working until about 2 -3 weeks ago mid-late May 2025, and now the shot tracking…
There is a fix: forums.garmin.com/.../beta-version-15-33---available-ota
Mines not picking up all shots. Especially half swings. And I do wear it on my trailing wrist.
But neither did my previous fenix. Maybe the club sensors would help if you want every shot picked up. Not sure...
Tested as well - worked flawlessly on 5 rounds golfed over the weekend. Thanks Cody!
Thank you for this info and update, this means that the hot fix .33 is working well with Fenix 8 and I do believe similar hot fix to be released soon for other models. Enjoy the game of golf!
@IronBlrock140.6 and others who are reporting no problems with shot detection. Would you say you have a slow, medium, or fast swing speed? I'm wondering if that is the problem.
For me (and others), 30+% of full swings are still not being detected on v15.33. I would say I have a slow/medium swing speed.
I agree with sappersix, lots of shots are missed in my rounds. For many the new version is a solution, for others is looks more of a lottery. The problem is not solved it is more complex now. The previous version worked 100% after a restart, now you don’t have to restart anymore, but you’re also not sure your shots will be detected every time.
I know what I prefer and it is not v15.33.
If I could do a rollback of the firmware I would do it instanteneously.
I'm not a long hitter and I think I'm swing on average. As I wrote, the Fenix will probably never register all the shots. But 90% is already with me. I can live with that. But I had another problem today. I confirmed all strokes in the Fenix or corrected them accordingly, finished the round even after 18 holes and saw the result. At home, however, the scorecard was only completed until 12 or so. No records after that.
Full swing shots were auto detected as it should be like before, except most 10~30y chips around the green, which was the same issue on earlier version as well. Guessing the watch couldn't detect well non-full swing. From the first day I used S60 the watch usually couldn't detect my shots around the green. I am a holiday player, 180y for 7 iron.
