I am having the same issue. I upgraded from an Epix gen 2 that worked well. The new Fenix (Purchased at Christmas 2024) was working until about 2 -3 weeks ago mid-late May 2025, and now the shot tracking…
The fix worked for me but when I completed the round my watch restarted itself and the *** tracking was lost and not uploaded to the golf app, only my scores were.
What would be nice is to have a weekly update @Garmin-Cody. That would be normal practice in the business world and not an unreasonable ask.
In addition, knowing when this is likely to be fixed - days, weeks, months? If it’s the latter I will likely escalate and ask for a refund.
That's what I've done today,they've given me option of refund or new device after a lot of pushing,I said the watch was not fit for purpose and I am within my rights.
I want to make other users aware on this thread that replacing your device is not a fix for the issue and the replacement may have the issue as this is tied to a previous software update we released.

The replacement probably wouldn't have the same issue if it were Apple I guess.
I don't want a replacement if it can be avoided. I just want the watch to do what I bought it to do.
It's less than a week old, so it's way too soon for this sort of drama.
Can you please give us some indication of when a fix may arrive?
The issue is tied directly to the software update for version 15.xx and up.
I am not 100% sure what you meant on the Apple reference, however if you were referring to the smartphone the watch is paired and syncing to...Android vs Apple smartphone is not relevant to the issue occurring.
@Iant what process did you have to go through to get a refund? Can you let me know your number you called/email you emailed? Thanks.
@Garmin-Cody a few (including me) have now asked for an indication of approx timescale for this - days/weeks/months. You might not know exactly but I would hope that some kind of estimate can be provided based on at least a month of looking at this and previous experience. The golf season is ticking through in the UK and this issue has impacted my last 10-12 rounds now.
On a separate note my watch also changes view sometimes without being prompted, ie. toggles into zoom modes. And also toggles into “plays like” distances without me pressing anything. All this means I’m regularly clicking it back to default view. Has anyone else experienced this?

Presumably a refund is possible though, rather than replacement, as the watch/software isn’t currently doing what we bought it to do?
I have had a new issue today. Touch screen has stopped working but only in the golf activity. It means I can't choose to enter the score unless I go to the menu. Cody is this a known issue please?
