Golf shot tracking

Shot tracking still isn't working,unless you restart the watch after starting the round of golf.

I have reported this in both beta and on here but because Garmin can't answer the question they lock the topic so you can't comment on it.

    I just updated my Fenix 8 to 15.33 version which is relased for everybody to download.

    Same here - it is available in non-beta release 15.33

    It's a regular version, not a beta. And what can I say, they've done it. Golf shot tracking works flawlessly. Whether anything else stops working remains to be seen.

    I logged in and selected the beta thinking it would release the 15.33.  Instead I got ver 17.14.  After about 45 minutes with Garmin support I was told to  go back and opt out of the beta and that I will eventually get the 15.33 release. Barbara from Garmin was helpful and was in touch with the coders while on the call with me. I appreciate her help

     For what’s it worth, I played a round with the new version 17.14 and shot tracking worked well.  At the end of the round, the watch went completely black but came back after about 30 seconds.   It was a little glitchy but hopefully will settle in. 

    not knowing what else is in store with 17.14 I would recommend the 15.33 version.  Hope that helps.

    I downloaded 17.14 and just played and IT IS NOT FIXED.  @Garmin please advise if it should we are all flying blind here give us an update PLEASE!!!

    Same here. I tried updating to 15.33 when it was released (beta) but instead I got 17.11, and now 17.14.

    I tested swing trainer with the new version (15.33) on the driving range I have mixed results, less than 50 % of my shots were detected and of the detected ones I got results which differ much from my normal numbers. So I reset the watch by switching it off and it would not detect any of my swings. Tomorrow I play a round, hopefully with more accurate result.

    Yes what you experienced is part of the bug it crashes and restarts at the end of the round, then you usually have to restart the round when it asks to resume.  You then end the round again and half of the time you get shot tracking in the app.

    Update again to 17.17! The fix is also in that version.

     With the updated version 15.33, the shot tracking works perfectly for me. All strikes were detected without exception. The swing trainer works, but I'm not sure if those are valid values. It shows something.
