backlight not working

I have a new Garmin Fenix 8 solar and the backlight will not turn on. I have charged, tried adjusting the backlight, rebooted, updated firmware and still not working. How is this fixed?

I called Garmin and they were great. Walked me through troubleshooting and confirmed it needed to be replaced. They provided options to replace at zero cost to me.

I have the same issue randomly, which makes the fenix8 AMOLED not usable outdoors. Only a reboot solves the issue.
