Hello. Using the Garmin Connect App, it is possible to change the display setting in the Focus Mode>Activity>Display & Brightness>Brightness to “Don’t change”
This setting, however, does not exist on the watch. The list of available choices (the range of options) is nearly identical between the app and watch, except that “Don’t change” doesn’t exist on the watch and 5% isn’t an option in the app. Very odd.
Accordingly, when you select this option in the app, it displays that the value picked is some crazy percentage (different each time, but now it shows as 952724632%) even though I picked “Don’t change”
After going on a run recently, I noticed that the Activity Focus mode brightness setting on the watch defaulted to 5% brightness, which happens to be the brightness setting I have for general use. But now it’s independently set to 5% rather than linked to the general use setting. In other words, it’s no longer “Don’t change” and will be locked to 5% during an activity regardless of what I have for general use.
