Transfer voice notes?

In a review by DC Rainmaker (Garmin Fenix 8 In-Depth Review), published in August 2024. The review says about Voice Notes: "Unfortunately, at the moment they don’t transfer to your phone, but Garmin says that’s coming.

When will I be able to transfer voice notes to my phone / computer? Or is it already possible?

It is possible. Just connect the watch to an computer wich needs to be able to read MTP devices.
Windows can do it on default, MacOS and Linux need AndroidFileTransfer.

Judging by how unpopular the voice features (besides calling) are, probably not very soon

Have you seen metrics on customer voice utilisation?

There is an folder i think called audio wich contains the voice notes as .wav files.

My microphone was broken and Garmin asked me to upload a wav, I didn’t knew it either.

It is not possible via Mobile, USB-OTG (with iOS, can’t check Android) or Garmin Express. You need to enter the MTP file structure.
