  • Hello

I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. Whether a factory reset is warranted, really depends on the issue you are experiencing. Here are some things to consider.

    • Is the watch on the latest software version? If not, I would recommend updating this using Garmin Express.
    • Are you running a BETA software? As these are in their testing phase, they may introduce bugs. You may consider rolling this back to the previous full software version.
    • Since the issue started, have you tried a powercycle? If not, I would recommend trying this.
    • If this issue is with a specific activity, you may consider restoring the activity settings first.
    • You can also try reinstalling the current software version with these steps:
    1. Hold the menu button
    2. Select Watch Settings
    3. Select System
    4. Select About
    5. Select Reinstall software

If the issue continues, you can try a factory reset with the steps below. However, you may also consider settings and a backup and restore, to avoid losing your settings. **it is important to note that if there is a software error, backup and restore and reintroduce this error to the watch. So if you issue resumes after restoring, it may be necessary to factory reset without restoring your settings***: Using the Back Up and Restore Feature on Select Garmin Watches
