After already paying an insane price for a Fenix 8, we now have to subscribe to Garmin Connect+ just to get new features? And all of this while the watch is still running on a three-year-old processor that barely manages to load maps?
What exactly is new in Connect+ that justifies this extra cost? Does it actually improve performance, or is this just a way to charge users more for things that should be included in a premium watch?
Would love to hear what others think about this change.
They can't confirm or fix a software metronome issue on a $1,000 watch for five months, yet they're able to develop a module to paywall users
This was a pleasant surprise. Considering how flawed the firmware is on many Garmin products, it will be a cold day in *** before I pay a subscription for services that don’t work consistently.
Connect+ for me - ain't gonna happen.
Garmin premium watches - to expensive as it is.
If forced, will look to Suunto/Polar.
