Anybody else with problem with deep sea? watch hands look wierd when bakcground is black
Yes, they should have kept all the old watch faces exactly the same. There are SOME watch faces they moved over to Fenix 8, but they are not 100% identical in terms of the available data fields. For example…
This is exactly what I mean. On the older generation watches (Fenix 7 Pro/Epix/MK3i), the list of data fields was complete and pretty much consistent for each "complication." On the Fenix 8 built-in watch…
Deep see is fixed with 15.16 beta update.
Yes, same for me. To be clear, this is an issue with the MIP version. It looks fine on the AMOLED.
In the amoled version there are some weirdnesses with the deep sea watch face:
These things really are bothersome and bespeak a certain lack of attention to detail.
Everybody I talked to have same problem. This is not ok by Garmin
Here's what it looks like on the Fenix 8 51mm MIP/Solar version:
That looks very strange …@Garmin: is it by design or and layout/UI issue? Thanks
Yeah this is a HUGE bug with this specific watch face, which is shared between both the MIP and AMOLED versions. At one point, I had both the AMOLED and the MIP versions of the Fenix 8. Ultimately I kept the MIP version. The AMOLED version does not have this issue. I also own the Descent MK3i (which is AMOLED) and it doesn't have this issue either.
Here's what this watch face looks like on the MK3i:
Looks like a simple layout issue and shouldn’t be easy to fix with an upcoming update…
That’s what you’d think, but here’s the same issue reported by someone else 3 months ago, with no fix until now:
Bugs in new generation products happen, I get it, even if it feels a bit disappointing in USD1,000+ watches. The real issue is how slow to respond Garmin has become.
Also more generally, the selection of built-in watch faces for both MIP and AMOLED versions is abysmal. I wish they’d port all the Fenix 7/Epix Pro watch faces over to the Fenix 8/Enduro 3. And the few watches they did bring over, well the available data field options are significantly capped/reduced compared to the Fenix 7 version.
Also more generally, the selection of built-in watch faces for both MIP and AMOLED versions is abysmal
Absolutely yes!
This is clearly a bug and further proof that garmin doesn't do the bare minimum of testing on their own products. How can this still not be fixed after all this time? Do they really care this little about their supposed premium line?
