Cycling activity with active Power Guide crashes watch

I just tried for the first time to activate the Power Guide feature for a cycling activity which works fine to setup but it crashes every time when switching to a certain data sheet.

Unfortunately I was not able to see the data screen once as the watch immediately shows the Garmin triangle and reboots.
After it came back I was able to continue the activity but I tried it for 5-6 times and it kept crashing.
I assume the crash always took place when the Power Guide data sheet should be shown!?
Not even sure if there is a specific data sheet for the Power Guide or how the information is even shown.
After a few times crashing I just got stuck on the normal Power data sheet and I dit not touch the watch anymore.

Would be great if this could get fixed as I do not have that feature on my old Edge 530 which I want to replace with the Fenix once it works reliable in all aspects.

To be honest, I did not find a single thread concerning the Fenix 8 and Power Guide.

I’m experiencing the same issue with my Forerunner 965. The watch crashes and reboots whenever I switch to a certain data screen while using Power Guide. This happens consistently, regardless of the power meter I use, and even when using an indoor bike trainer.

Has anyone found a fix or workaround?

Oh that's not good.
I thought it would be just on the new code base from the newer watches.
When it never worked even on the previous versions then it will probably never get fixed
But your explanation exactly matches my experience.
On my last ride I did not calculate a power guide and there was everything fine again and no crash.

Yes, I suspect it might be related to the GPS signal somehow. No idea how to report this directly to Garmin instead of just posting on the forum. If you figure it out, let me know!

So this is indeed really easy to reproduce.
Select a new cycling activity and navigate to the training menu.
Then create a new power guide and start the exercise.
Just navigate through the data sets and the watch should crash, reboot and return to the screen to continue the activity.
