gps on fenix 8 is not working.

Updated my fenix to the latest version and can't connect to the gps. I've reset it a few times as well. I want to like this watch.

    I am sorry to hear you are having this concern. I would recommend trying some initial troubleshooting. 

    • Ensure the GPS is enabled in the activity settings. Menu, Activities, Select the desired activity, Select Satellites, ensure you have a selection aside from Off. 
    • You mentioned trying a reset. If you have not already, I would recommend trying a hard reset. For this, hold the Light button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off. Then power this on again. 
    • Sync the watch with Garmin Express or Connect, to ensure the GPS data is up to date. 
    • If this is still not connecting, you will want to see if the GPS software version is still present. Menu, Watch Settings, System, About, Scroll down. If GPS software is indicating 0.00, this indicates the GPS software is missing. You may be able to reinstall this using these steps: 
    1. Hold the Menu button
    2. Select Watch Settings
    3. Select System
    4. Select About
    5. Press the Light button roughly 8 times
    6. Select Reinstall software

    If the issue continues, I would recommend reaching out to Garmin Product Support.
