With the rollout of the Tactix 8 series with several features added, including the rucking activity profile, can we expect that to be added to the Fenix 8 line soon?

In general I think this parameter should be available in each activity with backpack) I can hike without one or carry up to 30 kilo's)

My guess it will stay unique to the T8 for a short while (like Hill and Endurance Score were on the Enduro) and then wider…
I came to the Fenix 8 from the Tactix 7 Ballistics ed. under the assumption that most workout profiles were available to both. Also, I hardly think it would be a good move to exclude rucking on the Fenix…
Can I just ask, is the rucking activity now available on the fenix 8? I cannot seem to find it in order to add it.
You have a point. Just a workaround
Nope and dont think it will be for a good bit. Only Garmin knows.
I don't know. I saw somewhere that it's in tactix8. I assumed it's on all fenix8 and fenixe as well, but I might be too optimistic. In any case I only have a fr965, that's why I asked for someone to upload the rucking fit file. Now I was able to create an app that saves an activity as Rucking, though without being able to set the carried weight.
I wasn't able to find the weight of the backpack in the fit file. I'm not sure if it's not in the fit file (which would be strange), or it's just skipped in this activity because it wasn't set by you. Is there any chance you can repeat the procedure and also set the weight of the backpack?
Understood but does the watch normalize an activity to account for pack weight? Analogous to the idea of grade adjusted pace. Does the Tactix watch do this ?
I tend to use the Hike tracking when I Ruck. I went into the phone app to edit the Hike and was able to change the activity to Rucking and add the pack weight. It does not change the metrics, but at least has recorded the activity correctly.
I have the Fenix 7S Pro. I use Hiking for my Rucks because I think it is the closest equivalent of measurement. I went in to edit my Hike on the app and Rucking popped up with a section to add pack weight. Does not change calories burned or other metrics yet. Hopefully that is next.

As explained previously, it is not necessary, since the Calories are already correct, because for the calculation of Calories the watch does not need to know the added weight.
Is there any difference between:
person weights 70kg, no backpack
and
person weights 60kg, backpack weights 10kg?
Which of the Garmin algorithms use the user's weight?
