Fenix 8 no ECG in Hong Kong

I want to activate ECG on my Fenix 8 in Hong Kong, and the "complete setup" item is not appearing in my connect app.  My Watch is a Fenix 8 43mm, runs software 12.35.

    I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. If you are not seeing the option to setup ECG on the app, I would recommend trying these steps. 

    • Ensure you app is on the latest SW version.

    I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. If you are not seeing the option to setup ECG on the app, I would recommend trying these steps. 

    • Ensure you app is on the latest SW version.
    • Ensure the watch is updated to SW version 12.38. You can use Garmin Express to install this. 
    • Ensure the location services are set to Always for the Connect app.
    • Have the app open and running in the background on the phone. 
    • Next, I would recommend completing these steps: 
    1. Remove the watch from the Connect app
    2. Remove the watch from the phone's Bluetooth menu
    3. Powercycle the phone
    4. Hard reset the watch. For this, hold the Light button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off. Then power this on again. 
    5. Open the Connect app
    6. Pair the watch with the phone again
    7. Then try the ECG app setup

    Avoid installing BETA software, as this will disable the ECG function on the watch.
