ECG not available in my Connect app / Fenix 8

Hi guys,

I am reading Garmin ECG Now Available in EU & Australia where he is saying ECG is available in EU. My watch is from here, me to, however I dont see any option in either app or watch to enable it.

Trying to follwo instructions How to Use the ECG App | ECG App | Health Science | Garmin Technology | Garmin, however I dont see any "Select Finish Setup > Set Up ECG App" option

Any hints please? Does it work to someone in EU?

Dear Garmin-Laurie

I would kindly need your support with ECG. I am in Europe, Slovenia which is supported country. My Fenix 8 is on 13.35 and I dont have ECG function, even not in Connect app as an option…

No, I am on regular firmware. I guess they started with Beta and will roll it out with next version. Thank you

I have just installed Beta 13.xxx

Issue still the same, no ECG option either on Connect app or at watch :(

I tried first on regular, and was not there. Then tried with Beta, and later I read it is not supported.

Well, looks now I need to wait to get Regular version official update.

No big deal, curiousity more

Hello. I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with ECG on the watch. There are a few steps I would recommend trying for this.

Ensure you are using the Current Public software version, BETA software will not allow access to ECG or Dive features. If you are still running BETA software, you will need to roll back the software version to access ECG again.
Are you physically located in a supported region? Garmin ECG App Region Compatibility
For this, ensure location services are enabled in the phone, and that you have the correct country location showing in the Connect app.
If there is no change, I would recommend the following steps:
1. First remove the watch from the Connect app on the phone.
2. You will also need to remove the watch from the phone's Bluetooth menu
3. Powercycle the watch and the phone.
4. Pair the watch with the phone again.
5. Then try setting up ECG again.

Hi there

I tried all steps. Still not seeing the option to set up the ecg. I’m in Norway. All locations are enabled. No beta only main versions and I have Venu 2 plus

any tips?

It appears the Venu 2 Plus is not compatible with ECG in Norway at this time. ECG is available for the following regions:

Hong Kong
Indonesia

Malaysia

Philippines

Singapore

Taiwan
Thailand

United States

- American Samoa

- Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands

- Guam

- Puerto Rico

- US Virgin Islands

Vietnam

Hello Garmin!

I have also the same problem.

I am in EU/Hungary, I have venu 2 plus. I do NOT have "setup/finish ECG" option. It does NOT show up.

Latest software, latest firmware.

I have followed Garmin's official ECG EU step by step, many times I went through precisely. Nothing.

What the *** happening with your systems???
