Differences between Fenix 8 and Connect App

I was wondering if this is a known issue. I used to have a Venu 2s watch and the data was always consistent between a watch and connect app. Ever since I have Fenix 8, I always see a difference.

Most typical issue: I check the watch, then I go to the app and synchronize and see the data is different. Have been in touch with Garmin support for weeks and completely ignore it. They see the issue is there but for 4-5 weeks of follow up I get the same answer „we are monitoring it and will let you know”.

Anyone has this issue?

If the data in Connect is not the same as on the watch after syncing, then you could try to Remove and Add a Device From the Garmin Connect App | Garmin Customer Support, then log a few minutes of steps…

I've had discrepancies since my Fenix 5, minor but plenty of them, heart rate, flights of stairs, steps to name just a few.

And you accept it as normal? Struggling to understand why. Shat os so hard to show same data? Is it normal for Garmin?

If the data in Connect is not the same as on the watch after syncing, then you could try to Remove and Add a Device From the Garmin Connect App | Garmin Customer Support, then log a few minutes of steps and HR, sync, and see whether it helped.

Also, make sure the watch is set as the Primary Wearable Device.

I have uninstalled and installed the app a few times. I have removed the watch and connected it again. I have made sure that the latest firmware/software is installed via Garmin express. Differences are huge. If you take stress level as an example, after synch the difference between the watch and the app in one stage (rest) will be 30-40 min.

I know it is in Polish, but got a reply from Garmin today that the Connect app will be more accurate than the watch in showing the stress level as it is taking into account my height and age:-)
