Fenix 8 AMOLED 47 mm battery drain and random turn off issues

During the weekend, my Fenix 8 AMOLED 47 mm start to have an issue. First, it was randomly turn off, sometime after a few minutes, a few hours, or even over night.

Also sometime, it won't even turn on unless I connected to the external power. When connected to the external power, the battery shows 100% but when disconnected from the power, it turn off again.

The battery indicator sometime shows 100% or sometime I encounter with excessive battery drain.

In about 15 minutes, the battery downed from 90 to 83%. This is after I reset it to factory default.

The video above was taken just about 15 minutes after the picture of battery drain. My Fenix 8 was completely turn off and won't turn on.

I'm in Japan, so I requested garmin japan for sending my Fenix 8 for repair and inspection now.

    Hello, is there any update on your fenix regarding to this issue? I am currently experiencing this issue also.. my garmin is always shutting down meanwhile I'm stranded in mining sites with far access to garmin service center.

    I send it to Garmin warranty service for an inspection and they replaced it with a brand new one for me within a day. 

    Here is their answer: "The symptoms you have pointed out may be due to a faulty battery. In accordance with our repair regulations, we will replace the unit. Try a new replacement. There is no need to reply from the URL. We will contact you again once your order has been shipped."
