You cannot. The only way is creating a new Garmin Connect account, and not using ECG.
Too bad! Thanks for your reply!
I have that problem too and it's ***.
Same issue for me. I also have been in contact with support center. Nothing to do to come back! I disappoint about this strange procedure.
The only way to get rid of it: you have to delete your account (but then all recorded data etc are gone!) and create a new one. Garmin apparently hasn't provided a way to easily get rid of/turn off 2FA once you've activated it.
This is really bad! the ECG is a gimmick and once you tried it you have to stay w 2FA forever ?!
is this serious? How can this be a product that costs so much? Then at least provide a API like any other proper company does.
I don't like it, at least give us the ability to use third party Authentiocators or passkeys

If you turn on 2FA without using ECG, you can turn it off easily (at least in a new account with no associated devices). Garmin gives you a big button to do so (on the same page where you turn it on).
This suggests that Garmin has no problem with turning off 2FA per se, they just insist on permanently enabling it when you use ECG.
I assume this has something to do complying with heath privacy regulations. If that's the case, I think Garmin should give users the ability to delete all ECG-related information from their account so they can turn off 2FA.
