auto brightness

  • Hello Garmin! I turn on the maximum brightness of the display on the Garmin fenix amoled 51, but in total darkness it is impossible to read the text on the screen. The screen is too dim! I need maximum brightness at night! I don't need auto brightness! Everyone's eyesight gets worse after the age of 45-50. You will have it too! The eyes don't have enough light, you know!? It's not possible to take a picture with a camera and send it to you! Find a man over 50 years old and let him look at the watch menu in front of you in total darkness! Let him explain to you if you can't understand the problem! Your top-end Fenix 8 amoled is just useless for half of the users! On the third day, I already want to get rid of them! It's a shame! People shout at you about the problem and you continue not to understand it!

  • You want to give more info on your watch settings, and watch face and color.  I work in the dark room calibrating visual system daily, and my 47 AMOLED is pretty bright in the dark room. My brightness is at default or +1 from the default.

If the screen is dim only at night (during the sleep schedule), then double-check whether the brightness is set to the desired level also in Watch Settings » Focus Modes » Sleep » Display & Brightness. The brightness you've set up in the global settings is overridden when certain focus mode is active, and by default the intensity during sleep is set to the lowest level.

  • I had the same problem, luckily I bought it from amazon so I returned it after 3 days (or should I say 3 nights...) when I realized garmin is not going to fix it, as I thought- 13.31 didn't fix it

I thought I will buy the solar version but I think it's time to go back to Suunto...
