I bought a Fenix 8 as an upgrade from the descent Mk2. I use the watch for spearfishing. To my surprise, the Fenix 8 does not have a map zoom in apnea and snorkeling modes. There are no landmarks in the open sea - only points. Without zoom, it is simply impossible to search for objects in the sea and accurately reach the desired point. Who among the guys uses a Fenix 8 for spearfishing, apnea and snorkeling will understand me. It seems to me that the developers simply forgot to make a zoom. Since, in earlier models of the Descent Mk1 Mk2, there is a zoom in the maps and it works perfectly. In addition, in the apnea mode in the Fenix 8, in the maps from the triangle of my position, a red stripe azimuth emanates, which points to who knows where?? Also the distance traveled on the sea surface from the first dive is not shown, although it is supposedly in the settings of the apnoe mode screen. I repeat, all this is in the earlier models Descent MK1 and MK2. There is no need to invent anything, just do it as it was in these models. I really hope that I am not the only one suffering from these inconveniences and that Garmin developers will fix this in firmware updates. Otherwise, the watch is wonderful, like the previous models Descent MK1 and MK2, which I used for 7 years.
