After updating my Fenix 8 51mm AMOLED using Garmin Express on Windows PC, firmware 12.22, I am getting the error: Cannot Unlock Maps
I have tried the usual procedure:
Connect Fenix to your PC. Use Windows File Explorer to browse the GARMIN folder under the Fenix device. I have deleted all the D*.img files.
Next I uninstalled the Garmin Express app, rebooted the PC, reinstalled the Garmin Express app.
Next I connected my Fenix 8 to the PC and opened up the Express app. In the Express app I went to manage maps > from there I deleted and reinstalled the Golf Course (CourseView) and Ski Trail Maps. I also confirmed that the TopoActive maps were deleted. I selected to install TopoActive maps: United States, Central America, Alaska and Canada.
After installing the maps completed, I disconnected the Fenix 8 and powered it down. During power on, I STILL get the error: Cannot Unlock Maps
I tried this same process 3 (THREE) times and still does not resolve the issue!
Any help or advice is appreciated, PLEASE!
