I regret buying the Fenix 8

Dear Garmin, I regret buying the Fenix 8 for several reasons. I no longer trust it to the point where I take the Epix Pro 2 with me hiking.

Could you please fix the following as soon as possible please?

1. The watch crashes (resets) on about 2/3 of the hikes I go each weekend.
2. Somehow you’ve managed to screw-up the ETA calculation on this latest watch. Strangely it works on older models like the Epix. See the side-by-side photo attached.
3. I wear the watch in the shower, with a simple stopwatch on to monitor that I’m saving water. Even if you turn the touch sensitivity off, it’s still active. I’ve found it switch to other activities (eg hiking, running etc), trigger the music player, turn the map on, get the compass going, and other unwanted screens and options.
4. Why can’t we customise the widget order if you swipe down? It’s now notifications only. Taking away user customisation options is not a good idea.

The microphone and speaker and also both pretty bad but I’ll leave at that for now.

This is nearly a $2000 watch. With your small army of software developers I’m confident you can do better. Strangely, your earlier models like the Epix outshine this and are more reliable.

Could you please fix these as soon as possible please? It feels like you launched this in a hurry, despite the amount of time you have yourselves between the Fenix 7/Epic 2 and this model. Someone probably needs their bottom kicked.

Thanks for your time.
