Metronome Irregularity Issue on Fenix 8 (47mm, Firmware 12.22)

I am experiencing irregularities with the metronome feature on my Fenix 8 (47mm AMOLED) running firmware version 12.22. Here’s the issue and my setup:

1. Metronome Settings:

Beats/Minute: 180 BPM

Alert Frequency: Every Beat

Sound & Vibe: Tone

Status: On

2. Observed Issue:

The metronome occasionally produces inconsistent beeps that disrupt the steady rhythm. For example:

Unexpected pauses or delays between beats.

At times, multiple beeps occur very close together.

This makes it difficult to maintain a consistent cadence during activities.

3. Device Information:

Model: Fenix 8, 47mm AMOLED

Firmware: 12.22

GPS: 2.11

Wi-Fi: 28.84

ANT/BLE/BT: 28.84

Sensor Hub: 32.22

4. Steps I’ve Tried:

Restarted the device.

Verified that the firmware is up to date.

Questions:

1. Is this a confirmed or acknowledged issue by Garmin? I noticed another user mentioned a similar problem, but it wasn’t listed as a resolved or ongoing issue.

2. Are there any plans to address this in future firmware updates, or is there a workaround I can try?

3. Should I report this to Garmin support directly for further investigation?

Exactly Same issue on my brand new fenix 8 amoled 47mm, very annoying during usage of this "simple" features, thank you for solving the issue in next firmware update

Garmin support advised me to perform a factory reset, but unfortunately, that did not resolve the issue. After reporting back, they suggested sending the watch in for repair. However, I declined, as I don't want to be without my watch for an extended period just for this issue.

is yours new? If they want to send it "back for repair", I would think the answer is "return it for a new (not referb) unit".

I've had mine for a few days, turned on the metronome yesterday for a run for the first time, and it was unusable; every handful of iterations it would have a pause/stutter. I'm trying to reproduce it on my desk right now, but it seems to be running OK. I'll try on a real run again tomorrow (but I don't have a way to record then, so it's frustrating to verify).

has anyone noticed a pattern to the reproduction? As above, it seemed to reproduce consistently on my run, but is running fine on my desk right now recording a "run"

Playing around with this on my desk, I get the more consistent & obvious reproductions at 170bpm, and ever OTHER beat. I did have mine set at 170, not 180, on the run where I noticed this.

I believe I still hear some inconsistency on "every beat" as in OP, but it's minor - whereas on 170 & every other beat, beats are *entirely* missed, and the rapid-fire, roughly every 20-40 steps (10-20 beats).

Can anyone else reproduce something similar?

Tested just now on the v12.35 at 170 BPM. It stutters every few seconds
