IOS calendar sync issue

I am unable to sync  the calendar  on my iPhone (running 18.1.1) with my new Fenix 8 (running 12.22) despite having checked permissions in the IPhone settings. 

I have rebooted both the phone and the watch and synced the watch again via the Connect app. 

any ideas?!

    I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with this. For this, I would recommend trying some initial steps: 

    1. Uninstall the Connect Mobile app
    2. Clear the phone cache and history
    3. Ensure the watch does not appear in the phone's Bluetooth menu. If it is, please remove the device
    4. Powercycle the watch and phone. To do this, hold the Light button until this shuts off. Then power on again
    5. Reinstall the Connect Mobile app
    6. Try the pairing again ( Be sure there are no other Bluetooth enabled device nearby)

    Then try the pairing again. Then try the calendar sync again. If there is no change, I would love to help you investigate this further. For this, please feel free to reach out to me via Private Message.

    I have the same issue with IOS 18.5 on iPhone 15 Pro Max and the last "stable" Garmin Firmware for the Fenix 8 (15.31).

    I has worked the first few hours I unboxed the F8 but since 2 days it's not woring anymore.

    Since then I have only Garmin training suggestion on the calendar on the Fenix.

    Of course before posting I've tried the full process described below.

    "Fun fact" : calendar was working on my Epix PRO with last firmware (21.19). But now, after following the process described below (Uninstall/Instal Garmin Connect app on my iPhone) I have the same result on the EPIX Pro (no calendar sync).

    Very very very (very) disappointing to face AGAIN that issue I faced already several times in the past on the EPIX PRO.

    Please Garmin, why don't you test such basic feature before releasing a new firmware. It's always the same since years now and with all the models I've owned.

  • Update : calendar is randomly back on my Fenix 8 this afternoon without doing anything special. But not on my EPIX PRO.

    The only difference between both devices : yesterday I removed the FENIX 8 from Connect on my iPhone then added it again in the app. I didn't do that for the EPIX PRO.

  • Update 2 : and now the calendar is back on my EPIX PRO too. 

    Magic?
