In the stable 12.22 version on the Fenix 8 Solar, the touchscreen remains permanently active during activities, despite all attempts to turn it off in the settings. Additionally, using the shortcut to toggle the touchscreen ON and OFF has no effect; touch functionality stays enabled.
Moreover, the battery performance has significantly worsened again. In version 12.19, it maintained about 0.15% per hour (approximately 3.5% per day) in smartwatch mode. I was optimistic that the issues with meeting advertised specifications were finally resolved, but now we are back to 6-7% per day in watch mode with the MIP screen and without GPS usage. This results in only about 14 days per charge, which is incredibly frustrating given the high price tag and expected performance of this watch. It’s time for these issues to be addressed seriously.
