Not able to answer WhatsApp calls on mic and speaker Fenix 8

I can make and answer regular phone calls with the fenix 8 mic and speaker but I can't find any way to answer WhatsApp calls. Plus, the fenix only vibrates once for incoming WhatsApp calls, making them easy to miss. Can there please be a fix for this. WhatsApp is one of the most commonly used apps for calls and texts. Fenix 8 will have less appeal for users who also buy for smartwatch functionality, if it cannot work with WhatsApp.

Phone calls and Whatsapp calls work intermittently even after multiple resets, updates, and trying different settings.

On only one occasion have i been able to answer a Whatsapp call with my Fenix 8, which means that the functionality is certainly there. Since then i have yet to see the "Answer/Decline" prompt pop up on my watch with other incoming Whatsapp calls, as well as having incoming Whatsapp calls vibrate only once as Meesh100 stated. I have looked into all possible settings and permissions between apps and cannot get it to work. Whatsapp is the primary app used for calls and texts here in South Africa as well as much of the rest of the world. Please Please Please look into this Garmin!

Mine works flawlessly on both AMOLED and MIP 51mm. Using latest WhatsApp and iOS 18.1.

Mine are now hit and miss at best. Answered a call on WhatsApp once last week but subsequently have not been able to answer any WhatsApp calls. This needs fixing Garmin. Feedback please. A lot of money has been spent on this product.

Garmin support can't answer this question. Your best way to see/tell of an upcoming fix is to look in the beta forum > announcements at the beta builds. Look at the change log in each and you'll see what's coming up.

Just bought my fenix 8 and I'm extremely dissapointed to find this out. Like many, whatsapp is my main way of communication and one of the reasons of buying the fenix 8 was the ability to answer calls....

Seems like it's less of an issue for IOs users but more for android users
