Anyone go 7s > 8 43mm?

How do you find it? It seems like his multi and brings some improved battery life, but is otherwise worse across the board

Wonder how that translates to real-world results for those who were using the 7s.

I have the sapphire solar, but with where I live it provides basically no battery boost and only affects screen size/readability!

  • I still own a 7s standard and bought a Fenix 8 43mm because it was 230€ off.  I am still torn. Sizewise imo it doesn't make a big difference, esp as the F8 is a bit narrower. I can't see a big difference in size, and I think even the 42mm F7s looks too big on my 15,5cm wrist, personal taste.

    I am also a big fan of MIP displays and don't like amoled as they make the watch look like a computer. As my eyesight has gotten weeker though, I decided to go all in for an amoled watch for the first time. Well, not all in, I will keep my FR255s. The watch doesn't seem faster in daily handling. I wish the AOD would be dimmer to make it look more like a MIP watch. It is what it is. In general I am quite happy besides those really toyish looking watchfaces. Only very few from the previous lines made it to the F8 and many look like from a samsung lifestyle watch, fancy fancy. Not for me. I miss my simple digital time watchface most of all.

    The new interface is ok but to me more confusing and not more logical. Still, you now have a voice assistant which makes finding things much faster when not on top of any menu. Good integration and imo quite useful during all day tasks. I love the hardware flashlight which wasn't on my F7s. Very useful.

    Readability is of course MUCH better, a reason why I switched, see above. Battery life to me is worse as I use AOD half of the day, during work. So I get around 2-3 days, depending on workouts with AOD always on, 4-5 days when half on. Haven't had it off all the time after a charge though. I don't believe you will get more battery life even with AOD off all the time.

    AOD = always on display
