Rouvy and Fenix 8 training status not working

Hi,

I am doing something wrong? Why Rouvy not impacting my training rediness/recovery/vo2max/load? Last year when i had Fenix 7 it was seamless experience, now it seems it's just does not work.

Watch sync is broken…it's all good at the connect level. Another bug to the pile

look at that Garmin

W
hen putting fit manually i can see all graphs, but this way it will not  calculate any of the stats anyway. Please tell me dear Garmin, what's the point a sport watch that has worse sync than apple watch?

The only thing that worked for me is to record on Fenix and Rouvy, then download activity from Rouvy, and zip from Garmin, go to GOTOES, merge two files together, upload to Connect,  and then stats working. Nothing else seems to be working in my case.  This isn't something i would call seamless expreience at all.

I have logged support case with Garmin. Hope they will be able to fix that.

  • I'm not totally sure but, I believe that if another platform wants its data shared with Garmin, it is up to them to maintain that handshake. With the new UI, the handshake between Garmin and Rouvy was broken. You need to contact Rouvy and ask them to update their handshake.

  • why then in Connect app/portal activity have all the data necessary? API call is fine. It's later on Garmin platform something is broken badly.

I'm still at the beginning of my return window, so if no fix before that i will happily return that watch as  right now it does not serve its purpose unfortunately. I'm supper bummed by this release. So expensive, so problematic

It's the same for every single activity that was recorded no on watch -  joga/soccer/outdoor rides/rouvy. Different providers/different platforms, and all have the same problem where half of data is missing on the watch itself, but not on portal. This was never a problem on older watches. Last time i've used F7 was on april and was all good

  • I sync everything with the iOS -App RunGap. RunGap syncs the cycling-Workouts with a simulated Tacx-Device and Grmin accepts that. Sadly Garmin only updates training load,… for cycling workouts, but as I log everything else with the Fenix that’s not a bummer.

  • for me it doesn't even update load. Totally ignores training. Pretty much useless watch for 6 months

  • got a confmirmation that rouvy works with garmin as a partner app. There is Bug in my case smewhere

  • how you do this? I have added option in advance to simulate Garmin device, but no luck. Is there any special way to setup as TACX?

  • These are the settings in advanced settings of RunGap I use for Garmin Connect.

    „Fake Garmin Devices“

    “Also fake Partner Apps“

    Works flawlessly for me.

After auto import via RunGap to Garmin the „Tacx Training“ Logo is visible and you can see a training effect.

Does the workout of rouvy is imported/tagged as a cycling workouts in RunGap?

  • nope, i have tried that. still no change at all. For me it imported as virtual ride

  • I have this same issue with my Fenix 7 pro, it worked fine most of last year but at some point last autumn it stopped working. Bizarrely sometimes I get the training effect come through on teh watch from the cooldown after the ride but not the ride itself. The connect app has the exercise load chart showing the ride ride, but teh training load doesn't sync through to teh training load graph or affect any other metric. Not pleased at all with Garmin for this, lots of people reporting the problem on various watches since 2023, no fix. Very poor show
