Coming from the previous Tactix series C and Delta Solar, this is my first Fenix with an AMOLED screen. I've noticed that the brightness is too low in dark environment, rooms or night. Sometimes, the screen lights up brighter after a delay, but it's still not fast enough or bright enough for a quick read.
My Fenix 8 51mm is updated to the latest version, 11.89. I’m not sure how it performed before the update, as it updated immediately after I set it up.
However, I find the brightness in a dark environment to be too low for clear reading, and it reacts too slowly to adjust the brightness when it finally does.
Is there a fix for this, or do I need to change specific settings for the AMOLED screen behavior during night and day? I can't find anything on the watch’s screen setup except for the brightness level, which doesn’t seem to affect the behavior in dark rooms.
During the day and normal environments day, indoors the screen performs well and meets my expectations for an AMOLED display in direct sunlight I do need to shield the screen for better visibility, In comparison, my previous Tactix Delta SOL offered significantly better readibility under direct sunlight but that was benefit of MIP display.
Any advice would be most welcomed.
