Question for Fenix 8 users (I use enduro 3)

Have any of you used spotify or any other music on your fenix 8?   On the enduro 3 the music stored on watch cuts in and out with MOST bluetooth headsets...  Can anyone confirm their experiences with the fenix 8 series...   Me and a few other guys are really trying to determine if this is an Endoro 3 issue or widespread with all garmin watches..

Keep in mind this is strictly about the playlist you download to your watch.

I also want to say that on my endoro 3,  the stored music cuts in and out quite a bit whether I'm navigating or not...  Yesterday I was doing a coach program run with music and it cut out off and on quite a bit....  When I use my wife's bose bluethooth headphones I can put them on in reverse so that the stronger bluetooth side is closer to the watch that is on my left wrist,  but this is a less than loved situation even though it seems to help...

For nearly 1000 bucks,  this feature shouldn't struggle so much.

  • The same on F8. F6 was not great with BT in Spotify, but this one just sucks. The same headphones with Apple Watch I can use without any issue, so Fenix is *** here. Not sure if hardware or software, but now it's almost not usable with hand moving.

  • Wow, it seems like it's a garmin thing,   I think they need to suss this out quickly or do a recall quite honestly because I bought my enduro 3 because I wanted to leave my phone at home for many activities...   Not really very happy about this but I will give them the benefit of the doubt..  I hope their not reading this knowing they can't fix it and hoping we will just get use to it!!  I'm still in my return window and will get an apple watch instead if they don't speak up and acknowledge this as an issue soon.

  • I have the redmi buds 3 pro and 3 hours ago I did a run listening Spotify on my Fênix 8 with chest strap, stryd connected and don't have any issues. I think this is like the egs kinder surprise, only when you open you know what is inside. Some people do not have problems with some of the buggs reported, but experience others. The line Fênix 7,epix and the new line Fênix 8 and enduro 3 have to many bugs,I doubt they can handle with all. They throw hundreds of functions into this small watch only to raise the prices, and the results are here

  • This has actually been an issue for me since the 7 pro series. My 7 worked great and before, but the 8 also does the same thing. It happens to me with my Apple AirPods Pro 2 and my Sony's so it's not the headphones but the watch. Garmin support in the past was not helpful and rang me through resetting watch, wearing on different hand when running, etc. Nothing worked. It seems to happen near apartment buildings and the same places so seems like it's a wireless issue to be honest. My 8 is a little more reliable, but still bad with playing music. My next approach will be to put lower quality sound files on the watch to see if bandwidth of the MP3s might be a problem. But agree, it sucks and this should not be a problem on these watches when they are advertised to play music and I hate running with a phone...

  • Yes,  it makes no sense that as big as Garmin is,  they should have some more info on this issue and what is going on...  It's obvious that there BT intertration for music isn't stable for most BT headphones so they need to just come out and own it and tell us what we can do to fix it you know?   It's not cool to charge 1000 bucks and advertise the BT feature works when in reality it doesn't.. Nothing worse than the great dissapearing act...

  • It's not an E3/F8 issue. I had the same problem with my Epix Pro. For me, Spotify plays fine and the voice alerts work great, but after a while the voice alerts seem to stop, but they are somehow queued. I have had instances where I've skipped a track or paused and restarted a run and then the backlog of alerts all come at once. In extreme instances it can play 30-40 voice alerts back to back. I know when the issue is starting as the music from Spotify reduces in volume after a voice alert and never returns to the same level.

It's so frustrating. I raised it when I had my Epix and got no response, but it does seem worse on the Fenix 8.
