Crash - 11.68 - when saving activity the watch crashed (I saw a blue triangle (restarting)

I just completed a run and when saving activity the watch crashed (I saw a blue triangle (restarting))

After that when the watch was restarted the activity was not in the history (so things like trainingsstatus and hill score are not updated),

The activity was synced to garmin connect, when I looked in the activity folder on the watch (with Android File transfer) it is also their. Is their a way to process the run so my trainingsstatus etc will be updated with the run?

And the problem that the watch crashes on saving is the first time (I have used the watch for more than 3 weeks now (around the 6 activities in a week), this is first time that I had a crash) has to be solved :-)

Edit:

I looks like that the run is in the whole history but not in the widget Last run activty (the total km's of this week is also not correct, this run hasn't be added to that), but when I open this week in the widget the activity it displays is of 2 days ago but when I press the down button I see the run of today.

I just had the exact same problem. I'm on the same software version 11.68

I've had the watch for 3 weeks and it's the first time it happens.

I have added some text (Edit), is that also the case at your watch?

I can see the run both in the whole history and in the "last run" widget. The las run widget shows yesterday's run first, but when I scroll down I can see today's. I can open it to see the details but it's not showing the recovery and training effect pages.

I also noticed that on the Garmin coach widget it shows as if I completed today's workout (with a check mark) but it doesn't show the activity time. When I try to see the rest of the week it says " no training session" however, on the connect app I can see that there are more training sessions.

Update October 10, 2024:

Our engineers have identified a concern that may cause a device crash when saving an activity. They are working diligently on a solution for this. In the mean time, I will reach out to each of you via Private message to collect details of you experience, to help with this.

Same here, blue Garmin of death while saving hike activity...

Also, I've noticed, that after the crash, the nap is gone in the watch, while being displayed in GC.

Hello,

Got exactly the same issue 10min ago while saving my run on 11.87 version.
I had music on at the same time (no phone connected).

Looks like my activity is on connect but no mention of it on the watch.

PS : just got 11.88 update notification when coming back home.

Wait&See i guess...

Exact same thing just happened to me too. Went for a 8k run, no music or maps, just GPS, and the watch crashed while saving the activity. It does show on GC. Fenix 8 AMOLED 47mm on software version 11.68.

The same thing happened to me.
And aftert rebooting there were a notification "Live track in progress".
The tracking was ongoing during the activity. I had stop the tracking from my phone and reboot the watch again.
The activity was synced with my phone with no issues.
