fenix 8 47mm Solar - Touch function not working

Hello all,

I recently got my Fenix 8 47mm Solar and upon configuring it I noticed that the touch function is not working at all. I tried the setting it up (as per user manual) using all of the following:

Holding Down and Select (on screen it shows Touch On but not working)
Holding (for 2 seconds) Light (menu appears I can navigate and enable/disable Touch but still not working)
Going into Watch Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Touch ON (still not working)

In all above settings the function Touch Lock is set to Off. I even tried to reset the Fenix to factory defaults, did update to 11.67, restarted it multiple times, nothing works.

Maybe some of you had a similar experience that might share a workaround or a fix for this?

PS: I could not find a touch calibration menu and, on this forums I could only see a thread for buttons calibration (on AMOLED version) which I have not tried yet.

Any help is much appreciated.

Seems you have a faulty unit that needs to be replaced.

That's what I did with my old forerunners (the ones pre step counting haha). I went to fitbit for a year and a half (mistake) and then i got a fenix 6 4 years ago, and it still lasts for about a week and half with running/gps use every day or at least 5-6 days a week. We'll probably be on the 9 or 10 before the battery life gets down to unusable levels for me haha
