Am I the only one who has noticed an annoying delay in the screen turning on??? The screen activation on the Fenix 7 was much faster.

Yeah I have. It takes about .4 of a second once you stop moving your wrist. At the hard stop of when you tilt your wrist back is probably when the timer starts to turn the screen on.
Makes sense though…
I noticed the same longer delay on my F8 Amoled in comparison to my Epix. I do not use touch screen. With that said, by turning touch screen on, the gesture delay decreases slightly. So for now until Garmin…

Makes sense though, the algorithm is setup to probably detect movement and twisting in the wrist, then when a hard stop happens at an angle below 0 degrees, turn the screen on. They just need to decrease the time it delays before the screen turns on.
Baby steps though, let them get the software out of beta mode into something that’s fit for market
Do you have the fenix 8 amoled or the solar?
I have the solar, and mine seems fine.

True, I tried and it's as you say! Let's hope they solve it...
Mine is fine. Both AMOLED and solar. No delay. Both are 51mm. Latest public software.
my f8 47mm amoled no. My ex F7 was better even my apple watch
Mine is also slow to turn on or doesn’t turn on at all on first try.
Very slow here with F8 AMOLED. F7 Solar was very noticeably faster - no delay at all. When I twist my wrist with F8, the screen stays black for what feels like about a second and then illuminates. Basically makes it impossible to glance at your wrist to read the time, which for me is a big deal. Sorry, this needs fixing ASAP.
