Fenix 8 losing connection to Garmin express

I'm having the same problem I just can't figure it out.  This has been the most difficult upgrade ever.

HI I decided two weeks ago to move from an Apple Watch to Garmin and have the same issue with the Garmin express and the Mac . I opened a tickets which is open int the support nearly 1,5 weeks and they are not able to fix the problem . I am wondering about the long time how long they need to come back again.

I even registered to the beta world to be able to get earlier and update . Runs a bit better that Express connects sometimes but not always and the connection is not stabil.

Would be great if someone can help 

I've been having the same problem (unable to update my Fenix 8 on my mac with Garmin Express) and Garmin keeps telling me that they are aware of the problem and are waiting on their engineers to fix the issue, that the issue is with Garmin Express not recognizing the watch.   However, my ticket was opened weeks ago and still nothing back from Garmin.

I see this frequently - most likely because the Garmin USB cables are next to useless.

I thought the same thing but have tried several different cables and still no success......

I see this frequently too (Fenix 8 + macOS Sequoia). I often have to disconnect and reconnect multiple times to get a stable connection. I can't find a pattern on what works and what doesn't.

I have tried multiple cables (Garmin and 3rd party) with the same results.

I got my Fenix 8 Pro to connect to my Mac using an external USB. Using the built-in port it almost never connected, and when connected the connection would drop.
