Can't get flashlight to flash, only stays on constant

I believe the flashlight can be used to flash/strobe but i cant get the options to show up to give me this option

Anyone else?

1. hold top left button for two seconds to view the controls menu

2. select flashlight, press top right button

3. hold on mid left button to enter flashlight menu

ahh i was trying to get it to trigger from the short cut of double press
