Garmin Fenix 8 AMOLED wrist flick doesn’t work in AOD mode on when in Dive activity

Garmin Fenix 8 AMOLED wrist flick doesn’t work in AOD mode on when in Dive activity. When in Apnea Dive or Scuba Dive activity the wrist flicking does not cause screen to go in high power mode. It always stays in low power unless button is pressed (yes AOD is on for activities and general use). I have also tested this in water yesterday but couldn’t record video. Any other activity, such as walking, running, etc it works fine. See the attached video or link to YouTube video.

Yep, same here! Stays dim despite rotating my wrist.

That said I can see my stroke underwater triggering the wrist gesture so maybe it’s by design.

Updated to latest 11.89 and still same issue. On my F8 AMOLED updated on latest, 11.89 the wrist gesture doesn’t work. It is only during Scuba Dive and Apnea Dive all other activities it works normal. Garmin-Laurie can you please tell me if this is a bug or is something wrong with my watch?? Thanks.
