Can't touch to awake screen

I disable touch during sleep mode. After I get up in the morning, touch to awake screen is not working.

I tested by enabling touch during sleep. Touch to awake screen is working after sleep mode is over.

Conclusion: It is a firmware bug. Pls correct this issue. Thanks.

To solve this. Yiu have to disble touch then reenable touch again. So it will work.

It’s unfortunately not fixed. I’m still experiencing the issue after any sort of sleep (nap or nightly). Very frustrating.

Update February 7, 2025:

Our engineers are still aware of a concern that may prevent the touch screen from waking the display after sleep or nap. They are still investigating the cause of this. Once there are further updates, I will post these here.

This feature is not going to impact any visual portion of the watch for users. For this reason, an explanation of this change has not been provided.

I'm sure there is a problem with the watch returning from the "sleep mode" state to normal state. Using DND as shortcut with my uploaded settings (both files from watch) does solve the issue and the watch behaves as expected.

Maybe the watch should perform a DND Mode toggle in the background (maybe only toggle touch on/off) to reach a well known state?

Our engineers are aware of a potential concern that may cause the touchscreen to not respond after exiting sleep or nap mode. They are anticipating that this will be resolved with a software update release mid-May. In the mean time, if your touchscreen has stopped responding, you can temporarily resolve this by powercycling the watch.
