Can't touch to awake screen

In order for this bug to get fixed, more people experiencing it will need to call Garmin and report it. I don’t think Garmin reacts much to the posts in these forums, unfortunately. I called Garmin to report this issue and was told they hadn’t heard about it before. 

I am surprised that people are constantly writing about the problems they have. Garmin does not read these forums. These forums are only here to comply with the rules and laws. to have support. It is not used for anything else. I myself am behind in writing here on the forum after 3 months because there is no point in reading or writing here. It always remains without a response. You need to change the Watch for another brand and you will not have such problems. F8 is a disaster on the HW and SW side... unfortunately...

That's not entirely true. Garmin staff often repsond to threads. Especially on the hardware forums (fenix, forerunner, etc.). Maybe your specific issues weren't resolved?

Although, I do agree, that if an urgent response is required, it would be best to contact Garmin directly

I've reported it but agree, the more reports the better. It hasn't impacted my view on the watch, I know it's far from ideal but it's a great watch and they will get the operating system niggles sorted

It happens very randomly for me,I've noticed if I go through the morning report to the end and the watch comes out of sleep mode manually the touch screen seems to work ok,it's only when it's left to do it automatically at the time I've set that the touch doesn't work but I'm generally up before that anyway so it's not a major issue but I agree it needs fixing.

Do the garmin enginerrs know the concept of testing? Because it really seems like they just leave it up to the users? And we pay a lot for their products, which are full of errors without exception!

Judging by how many fixes they've released for this watch, I don't think anyone from Garmin is testing this. We are testers.

It's not the only garmin product that has problems and it's not the only bug that, if they were testing, should have been discovered before release... I'm a software engineer, if I let a job like this out of my hands, I'd not only get my face burned, I'd get fired right away.
