First Nine Days

I have been a user and customer for around 35 years starting with your aviation products professionally and then automotive, marine, and watches personally. I acquired a Fenix 8 47mm Titanium AMOLED, on day one directly, having also owned a Fenix 6 and Epix gen 2. I am not finding a lot to be excited about with this version.

  1. I wanted to ditch the signature black finish and went for the silver/gray one. The unpleasing orange band has been discarded but I am stuck with the garish orangish sensor guard. I would pay 50 bucks to acquire a silver, dark gray, or black one. I would even throw in shipping.
  1. There is a dearth of appealing faces. The typeface is too small, and the pastel schemes are too busy. A not seeing the trees for the forest thing. I loved my clean and crisp Epix 2 faces.
  1. The buttons are stiff and unpredictable. Hold them too shortly and nothing happens and too long something unwanted happens. They are stiff rather than tactile.
  1. Because of the above button issues, as have been using touch more, not only does that fingerprint and smear the face but it is sluggish and unresponsive too.
  1. The luminance is a little out of whack. The watch is hard to read in the sun and in low light.

I want to love this watch. Please help that happen.
