Microphone not working in fenix 8

I am having an an issue with the microphone on my Fenix 8 AMOLED 47mm. The watch is not responding to any voice commands, and when I take calls, I can hear the other person, but they can’t hear me. Also, the voice note app only records silence. I haven’t been able to find a mute/unmute option for the microphone in the settings. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Update: I contacted Garmin support. They confirmed my watch was defective and offered to exchange it. I had to take a video and demonstrate the issue. I got a new watch yesterday and it works fine.

Check your volume settings, you may have set "Mute All"

I also have the same problem. When I call from the watch I hear them but they don't hear me. I have to have a loud voice but they still hear me with interruptions

I exchanged the watch at REI. Garmin told me the model I had was temporarily out of stock.

I know this has been resolved, but for future reference, also note that if you get the watch wet, the water will cause your microphone to temporarily not work. Garmin says up to 24 hours (in the manual). My experience is it takes less time, but definitely, any time you wash/swim/dive with the watch, it needs time for the microphone to dry and get back to the working order.

Thanks for the response. But this issue was not due to water exposure. I had the issue out of the box.

Hi. It happened to me today after surfing... it suddenly started working again two hours later. Is this normal? Where in the manual can you find this?

Is it always like this? It happens to me. They offered me a replacement. But I don't think it's worth it. Does it happen to everyone?

I also noticed that I have problems with the microphone, the audio is very low, when I answer phone calls they don't hear me and even the voice recordings are unusable.
