What is Position Enhancement in Data Recordnig?

This is a post-processing in Connect of the recorded track. Further data from the sensors is added here to minimize any GPS errors.

It is also helpful if you want to save battery during recording. Then you can record in "GPS only" mode, for example, and the track will be corrected later in Connect.

According to Strava, this means that your elevation was already corrected, either bc it doesn't know about your device, or bc it thinks your device doesn't have a baro.

If your device has a barometric altimeter and is included in our device database, the activity page will display the elevation that the device recorded into the file.

This means that your activity has already been corrected by cross-referencing your GPS data to an elevation database. Please also remember that elevation correction is only available on the web version of Strava.

Do your Strava activities show the correct device type ("Fenix 8")? If so, then the device is in the Strava database, but maybe Strava incorrectly thinks it doesn't have a baro. If not, then you probably just have to wait for the device to be added to the database.

You could always get in touch with Strava support if this is a pressing concern.

For what it's worth, ppl have mentioned that Fenix 8 isn't recognized by Strava as recently as 6 days ago (August 31):
