Garmin Pay not closing after payment

Hi,

when using Garmin Pay in my Fenix 8, 47mm, gray, sapphire, there is no detection/vibration that I have already paid. After succesfull payment, Garmin Pay keeps open until i push "back" button or until the countdown is finished. It supposed to close Garmin Pay with my card after the actual payment, at least that's how it worked with my FR265 I had before.

    No. It is just the lack of feedback you notice.
    The operation works and is closed once done, just the screen and the absence of Garmin Pay App closing on your/our side.
    Once the other terminal beeps, you just have to manually stop the app.
    It is annoying but not a security risk, you watch is not looking for another terminal to spend your money another time.
    And for your information for any bank transactions with your/our Fenixes, a special card number is generate to be certain it cannot be reproduced twice. We pay once with a virtual card. It cannot be reproduced hence the absence of payment limit.
    So there is no security risk at all.

    Thats not correct for the Fenix 8. I have already succeeded in doing 2 payments out of one Garmin Pay action within the timer (at a vending machine).

    This means it is definitly a security risk.

    Same here. While my Fenix 7 Pro works as expected. The last 3 Fenix series, I order them right away after the releasement, but I don't think this will happen again. 20 days now and Garmin still not solved this serious issue with Garmin Pay. 11.64 version released and nothing. No words needed. It's just unacceptable.

    I have the same issue on my Fenix 8 43mm… this is a serious security risk!! Why haven’t they rolled a security update 3 weeks after the release for this? Fenix 8 seems to be an unfinished product, and I’m really sad that I sold off my Fenix 7s to get this

    If your bank accepts two transactions with the same temporary transaction number (token), the security issue is with them in the first place ! There should be only one token by transaction. 
    Garmin pay is not an open portal to your bank account. Grin

    (the problem of the Garmin Forum is that it attracts haters or even people from other watch companies to manipulate opinion by telling lies. 
    it so easy to hide yourself behind numbers as alias and trash a product and troll the forums.

    Is it too much to ask from a $1200 watch to give feedback when a payment is made? Is it too much to ask from a $1200 watch to close the payments app when a payment is made? 

    I have seen your responses on other forums as well. The troll is actually you here - Garmin employee who is trying to hide shortfalls of an unfinished product. If this was Apple, the entire engineering team would’ve been fired. There are so many people complaining about the same issue on Reddit, on Garmin forums and the response of Garmin employees is to accuse them of being haters from other companies? Pathetic. 

    I had a Fenix 7s which I used for 2.5 years and sold it off to get this unfinished product. Read the emotions in the room - people are not happy with Garmin. Time to fix the product rather than abuse the customers.

    How you can you be sure it is the same transactionnumber? 

    I dont know what Garmin does behind the scènes after the first transaction. Only thing I know is it doesnt close or give any response.

    If the app is not closed, the token is not reset/changed.
    And also check your account statement to see if you got two transactions at the same time on your vendor machines.

    Actually, Thirty Six, if you look at this thread, I was one of the first to notice and report that "Garmin Pay Issue" some 18 days ago.
    Sorry if you think I'm trolling all those "numbers" who are just late at that nagging party to show how great parrots they can be to copy paste the same nagging content over and over. The issue is known and report.
    I was not trolling. Now i could.
    But please stay on reddit to barf and bark or go back to your bot farm !
