Yep I got the same issue. It vibes display a message but no ring. I would love Garmin to take care of that little detail as it is really a watch signature. The Casio got their Beep Beep. The Applewatches got their Shirps. Fenix needs a hourly chime. Please.
I have a similar issue where the hour chime will stop working in the morning. I have to hard restart the watch and it will work all day but stop working again the next morning. I suspect it might have something to do with sleep mode in that the hourly chime doesn't reactivate after the end of sleep mode each morning.
Our engineers have released the BETA software update 11.81 (now available OTA with version 11.88). This includes a fix for potential issue causing hourly alerts not work after Do not disturb, requiring hard reset. If you are experiencing this concern, you may consider enrolling in the BETA program to receive this update.
