F8 51mm amoled software issues

Had this watch for 2 days and the software feels like in Beta testing. I have 4 restarts and sometimes the UI gets so slow. Any ideas if there is an update coming soon? I have 12 days left to return it and as much as I love the watch I can’t justify something that is not working 100% as it should.

Can you describe this in more detail? When does the watch restart ? during an activity? When does it slow down? Have you installed anything from the Appstore? If this is the case, uninstall them and see if it gets better. Or do a reset.

Latest restart was today when I got home after a walk. Stopped the walk and the blue triangle of the watch restarting appeared. Haven’t install anything from the App Store.

Is the software version up to date? Have you connected the watch to Garmin Express and checked whether updates are available?

Thank you for your reply. All up to date, I installed the latest version yesterday through Garmin Express .

I suggest a factory reset. If that doesn't help, contact support.

Unprompted Reset

This reset will clear all settings, user profile, records, activity history, Connect IQ content, and other data.

It is recommended to read the steps in full below before performing them.

Ensure the watch is powered off.
- You may need to hold LIGHT for up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off.
Press and hold BACK and START/STOP.
Press LIGHT to power the watch on while holding these two buttons.
After the first beep release START/STOP.
After the second beep release the remaining buttons.

The reset is successful if the watch finishes powering up and goes through initial setup. Try the steps again if initial setup does not appear. Following the reset, place the watch outside with a clear view of the sky for a minimum of 20 minutes to acquire satellite data.“

Have you done the software updates. I had 2 out of the box. After that I fully expected to have the typical Garmin lag and I haven’t seen it. If anything I’m surprised how smooth everything is
