Clean analogue watchface

You can create one quite easily in Face It within ConnectIQ app. Worth giving a go!

I tried this, and indeed it IS easy to do.... BUT .... the resultant face has no AOD mode (meaning, screen goes completely blank despite my GestureMode setting enabled). Sorry but that's a total deal breaker for me. So FaceIt is NOT a solution to the fact F8 is missing any clean watch faces that we expect.

I use Deep Sea (the last of the OEM watchface on the list) and I'm very happy with it.
Especially in AOD where the hands are really easy to read.

Unfortunately this seems to be a problem with the F8. It has certainly (among all the reports of bugs) put me off buying one.

The only hope is that Garmin add some better elegant analog faces in a coming firmware update or at the very least add some good paid faces to the IQ store.

Garmin do have watch faces in the store, but they're almost impossible to find because the ConnectIQ store search is utterly hopeless and there's no filtering. Even when you do find them none are compatible with the F8 yet.

I also ended up with the Deep Sea one but I'd prefer thinner hands for a sleeker look. There's no customisation on that watchface for some reason.

It really looks like they rushed this out the door for some reason. It's not like Garmin can't design functional, elegant watchfaces - look at the MARQ series or even the earlier Fenix and Epix models. The Deep Sea model is literally the only one I'd want to wear, on previous Fenix models there have been 3 or 4 I that would be attractive.

My 8 47mm AMOLED dos not have this one.

You can Add it. Long hold middle left button->WatchFace->scroll down (bottom left button) click+ (plus sign, meaning Add) now scroll down (bottom left button) until you see the face named DeepSea
