BUG on the new function - Countdown until a date - It is one day ahead.

OK.....This is another annoying error and this one it is mathematical !!
I have set a countdown for my train in one week.   A week is something we all know in terme of number of days.

It will be the Friday the 6th of September at 08:43
In one week exactely.
So the result should be 06 days 22 hours.... no ?

But no !!
at 10:03 today Friday the 30th of August.
the countdown shows: 05:22:39:25
5 days ? No !! It should be 6 days !!
The correct result should have been 06:22:39:25

So I have created a countdown for tomorrow morning.
And once it was created, and start it was already over !   The Minus One Day Bug was there again

It means the Countdown for one Day of calculation error.
If you use it don't forget to subtract one day !!

Please do correct that issue !! Even my casio are reliable in that domain.

  • It has been fixed in the Betas, so it should come soon for public release.

  • There was an update this morning (11.89). After that, entering a date works correctly. Unfortunately not for the first of the month. So: 1.11.2024 (here the clock says it would be today) or 01.12.24 (here the clock says it would be 20 days until then). Obviously the watch has a problem with a month change on the 1st of a month. The second day of the month is calculated correctly! Perhaps you should check this again?

    Very nice catch "5985249".

As you can notice the Countdown from the 12 of October until the 1st of December is 20 days.

    There is obviously another issue.

Also entering a date should be done by Year Month and Day
Because choosing a day between 1st and 12th when you are the 12th is blocked until I increment the month to November.

you have another bug to report on this function. ;-)

  • Hi!

Just to add; it's more than a day.

Currently mine thinks 1st December 2024 is 20 days away but 2nd December is 51 days away.

  • OS 11.90 was installed today. However, the bug is still open. There is still a problem with the first day of the month. If I select a day <> 1st, the program counts correctly, but as soon as I enter the first of a month, it omits a whole month. So today on 31.10. I enter 1.12., then the clock says it is one day. If I enter 3.11., it says correctly: 3 days. If I enter 3.12., it correctly says 33 days. If I enter 1.1.25, the clock counts 31 days! It obviously only has problems if I select the first day of a month.

  • For me on 11.90 it seems to be fixed

  • Can you set 1.12.2024 and the clock will display the correct number of days?

  • I'm having the same issue on my new Fenix 8.

    I'm on Software Version: 17.30

Anyone know how to fix it?

  • I haven't checked this forum in a long time and now I see that the bug has been fixed. I also have version 17.30—but after testing it now, the Fenix 8 has displayed all days correctly. That wasn't the case at the beginning.

  • Thanks for replying to the super old post!

I played around with the settings and got it to work.

It was showing Friday as the date which has now updated to the correct day which is Wednesday for the same date.

    Cheers
