It would be great than Garmin communicate about the CPU used in there watch.
is it the same cpu in both enduro and fenix 8 watches ?
its seems it isnt.

But that would be great from garmin to be open about hardware inside the watch, soc, ram etc... That should be mandatory for all computer device asking for 1k$...
Maybe if you're Apple and you…
Recycled hardware for much higher premium price in the Fenix 8. Nice. Garmin fools customers and kicks them in the ass.
Having more bugs with a newer firmware is actually normal. What is abnormal is Garmin is using the consumers as testers. And the product is rushed into the market. Most of the bugs could have been solved…
They will never say publicly. It's the same CPU as in the E3 F 8 and Epix 2 family from other reports/benchmarks. The only issue I ever have is when maps are drawing on my E2 Non-Pro and F8.. Painful. And I tried the Outdoor Maps+ and it was absolutely unusable. I asked Garmin for a refund and they did.
Ummm, maybe. :D
But is not the route calculation on the F8 a lot quicker than with any previous Fenix?
At least that is my intention which make me think that the F8 has a slightly quicker CPU.
Unfortunately the map interactions are still quite slow.
Calculation speed is actually same between Fenix 8 and Fenix 7X.

It was almost half the way. I was sick and busy for some time. I think I'll complete it nowadays.

The SOC isn't as important as you think it is. It's the software which is doing the heavy lifting on these devices.
Also keep in mind that you're also getting an arguably better display, UI that would have taken thousands of developer hours to re-toolo, non-penetrating / water proof buttons, dive functionality, voice activation etc. Theres quite a bit that's new here.
You are right an optimized software is key.
but it seems that it is not the case for F8 :-(
