I'd do trade-ins if they offered it

Trade-ins are usually not a great deal anyways, you'd typically get a lot more money back selling your electronics on the secondary market. The convenience of a trade-in program can be nice though.

Except that they just sold you another watch.  When I was a kid, there were Ford families and Chevy families.  The dad had driven 8 Ford pickup trucks in his life.  So did their brothers and sisters and all of their children did too when they grew up.  Everyone drove them because they were brand loyal.

It is worth more to a business to keep a customer actively purchasing their products than to abandon them after one purchase.

Why not the Epix 3?

There will be no new Epix.

Garmin's margins on the product seems to be pretty huge as looking at Amazfit T-Rex 3 specs and price.
