Can that orange piece of metal easily be changed?
Like the clean case on 47mm amoled with titanium band, but would rather have a Grey silicone band.

There is the Fenix 8 AMOLED 47mm DLC Titanium with Black/Pebble gray. This is is overall black and gray option, and is still Titanium. www.garmin.com/.../010-02904-20
Also other band colors can be purchased…
I would like to order the F8 Solar with raw titanium, but you are forced to have the garish 'amp yellow' sensor protector. Would be nice to have an option to not have it or replace it.
Like OP, I seriously dislike the bright orange accents but (since I live in US) there is no other option with Raw Titanium bezel. But in UK there is 010-02904-40. Why Garmin must you make the various color…
I HATE my 8 47mm Titanium AMOLED garish orange sensor color. The band was easy to ditch, and I understand the SENSOR GUARD is easily replaceable. COME ON GARMIN, this is an opportunity to make some money…
Per Garmin in response to a letter I wrote to the CEO:
"Sensor Guard Replacement:"
"That's a good question, but engineering is telling us that we should not attempt field replacement of the sensor guards. We do not have plans for a sensor guard replacement part."
We do not have plans for a sensor guard replacement part.
Oh, that's disappointing. Then I'm out - this watch is not for me. This awful yellow accent colour on the solar models I'm interested in - no. Why no neutral titanium colour like on the bezel? I understand Garmin wants to upsell the more expensive versions that have that - at least for the amoled screens. However, for the solar models there doesn't even exist a more expensive alternative with neutral sensor guard.
I think in the end this approach to launch a product without acknowledging what a substantial part of the customers really want is the beginning of the decline of this brand (see also the discussion of the awful watch faces on the amoled versions as another example, where Garmin won't listen to its customers). And I have owned some products of Garmin so far - probably the fenix 6 pro titanium being the last one - if nothing changes in upcoming future devices.
Keep an eye on “your watch, your way” — they offered the graphite Fenix 7 launched in Europe a few months after launch via this way for US customers. You can basically choose any band as well, some that are more expensive add to the cost, but it could be released with that silver accent as an option. Maybe will do similar for Fenix 8.
I agree that there should be more options, however I love the orange accent on the AMOLED 47mm. It actually works with so many other bands, in particular my chestnut leather band and green band.
It's actually a refreshing change from what looked like a large wall of plastic on the side of my F7.
Hi, FYI they just added this to the US site today. Has the graphite model with silver side bit.
Do you have a link? I don't see it on the USA Garmin website. Thanks!
Boy does that **** me off.
Yes, this is the link to customize and not have to wait 5-8 weeks!
Does anyone have a picture of the watch on an actual wrist? Without the titanium band?
