What do you think? What functions will the tactix 8 have ? Will it still have the aviation features of the tactix 7 ?

Without LTE, how else is my family supposed to be able to follow along with my progress while I'm invading a foreign country?
This is the Fenix forum...
Which is exactly where we should be discussing the tactix - so, what's your point?
There is no separate tactix forum, the tactix 7 has always been discussed…
You are in a thread that deals with a tactical (military) watch. Are you telling me that such a watch should have LTE ?
Yes, was thinking the same, wtf. You want your watch to be tracked…
I just wish for an MIP tactix 8 with improved screen readability like on enduro 3. But Garmin might just launch OLED ones like tactix 7 OLED. Sad.
To be worthy of its name, the Tactix should be nuclear-powered, just like fast attack submarines. It already has the titanium pressure hull that was used in the revolutionary Sierra and Alfa-class submarines of the Soviet Navy.
In a past thread I also suggested making a watch that can be worn in space, just like Nikon built a modified version of its legendary F single-lens reflex camera for the Apollo missions. I also mentioned that when man sets up a moon base (or Mars for that matter), there would be a need for a lunar version of GPS and GPS devices.
I feel the Tactix is the line of watches best suited to development in these directions. The special forces exploratory spirit is inherent in the brand.
The alternative is to continue being a tired "Fenix 8 with a slightly different case and some additional functions", or another cliched "titanium sapphire" smartwatch trying to keep up with Apple's Ultra II. And another pile of YouTube videos and blog posts comparing the tiny differences between the 7s and 8s.
A hundred years ago, sending GPS satellites into space and having multiband GPS on a watch on your wrist was beyond humanity's wildest imagination. Does Garmin dare to push the frontiers and be truly different from the rest? Or is it content with little petty fights with Apple?
